When I booked my trip to Compiegne, I thought it was the place Champagne was from... turns out the names just sound similar... very sad :-(
Then I was surprised with a drive-out to the REAL Champagne! It was very exciting!
I was so happy! And to the Moet factory no less!
But when we arrived 1.5hrs later, Moet was closed... so crushing :-(
It was tough but I managed to pull myself together & make the best of the situation.
The town, Epernay, had some nice buildings at least:
